Father Tad joins Christine Persichette on Net NY’s “Current News” to discuss the recent reporting of the birth of several children with genetic contributions from three different parents. The Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority in Britain reported that “fewer than five babies have been born this way." Father Tad explains the 3-parent embryo approach, which is aimed at preventing children from inheriting rare genetic diseases, and notes that the so-called “therapy" actually involves cannibalizing parts from other embryos and recasts human embryos as modular constructs to be “assembled-to-order,” besides its fundamental reliance on the morally-problematic technique of IVF.
